Creating An Inclusive Classrooms
We'll work to build a classroom where every student feels they can be open about all of their identities. This is the first step towards ensuring students are fully engaged in the learning environment. Then let's explore how to include mirrors and windows for our youth. So ultimately we are supporting resilient confident students.

Values Formation & Bias
When you take part in the values discussion you can recognize your biases and how your values are based on your life experiences. Then utilize that information to recognize how values can help build or prevent connection. You'll get to discuss specific values and how to focus on understanding the spectrum of beliefs. Lastly, you could get the opportunity to go through case studies to think through the best way to address scenarios that may arise.

The discussion illustrated that while values may be different

they are no less valid.

Developing A Culture of Inclusion
When you hear the word diversity an image comes into your mind. This image may include people whose skin color has a wide range of hues. Perhaps you thought of people who are varying ages from millennials to the baby boomers. Did you envision someone who's in a wheelchair?  Regardless of the image you created, you were able to paint an image. Yet, diversity isn't always visible. Let's connect so that even if a point of difference isn't easily known or visible, individuals know their needs are taken into consideration.

That was the best presentation on inclusivity I have ever heard.

I appreciate your knowledge, presentation style, and enthusiasm for what you do.

Working through scenarios to ensure awareness of how to best address tough situations that may arise. You can assess your behaviors, environments, and your own feelings of conformity. Specifics regarding support, interventions, and best practices are provided. Get resources and strategies for creating brave spaces.
I'm honored to have learned from Lenny who identifies as two-spirit, specifically Winkte as a member of Sisseton Wahpeton-Oyate.  I recognize that so few two-spirit voices remain and the vast tribes' narratives are conflated. I am privileged to have learned and continue to learn from two-spirit people.

"Great interventions that will not only work well

with the LGBTQ community but all populations.
